Assisting an injured person. Knowledge of  first aid  promotes the sense of  safety  and well being amongst people, prompting them to be more alert and  safe  in the surroundings they dwell in. Awareness and desire to be accident free keeps you more  safe  and secure, reducing the number of causalities and accidents. Duty of Care in First Aid is the legal responsibility to look after a person when they are injured or ill. A  workplace  first aider has a duty of care to look after people in their  workplace  in the event they are sick or injured. 

TOPIC: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2019

  ATOMIC ENERGY CENTRAL SCHOOL NO.5 MUMBAI DEPARTMENT OF SPORTS   Online Sports Coaching TOPIC: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2019 Students & the Teachers of AECS-5, Mumbai celebrated the International day of Yoga in the open space & in the corridors of AECS-5. Smt. Neena Bopaiah, Principal of the school, Shri Prasad Gokhale (Vice Principal) & Smt. Rajni Agnihotri (Head Mistress) were present on the occasion. A total of 350 students took part.  Yoga provides a holistic approach to health and well-being. Yoga also brings harmony in all walks of life and thus, is known for disease prevention, health promotion and management of many lifestyle related disorders. Yoga day was conducted in School as per the directives laid down in the COMMON YOGA PROTOCOL by the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), GOI.

Rajani Agnihotri along with a few teachers, who are the functionaries of the school, a few of the support staff were present for the flag hoisting. “Every year, Independence Day is celebrated with grandeur, gaiety, fervour and enthusiasm. This year also, Independence Day was celebrated in a manner befitting the occasion. However, in view of the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, while organizing the Independence Day celebrations, it is imperative to follow certain preventive measures such as maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks, proper sanitization, avoiding large congregations, etc.; and following all guidelines related to Covid-19 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,” (Glimpses of the Independence day 2020)
